It all started in South Korea ...
When I graduated from university at 22 years old, I immediately went on an adventure to teach English in South Korea for 5 years. I quickly learned that communication is far more than knowing a language. It is using empathy and knowing how to choose and organize your words to fit the person you are communicating with.

I fell in love with helping people communicate more clearly and confidently.
I fell in love with culture and I learned by experience how culture affects communication. I discovered that I love training people to write better emails and how to present their ideas more professionally. So, I earned my Master’s Degree in Education and became a certified fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). For the past 25 years, I have lived and worked in South Korea, Taiwan, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates.
I have always been employed by universities and have provided 1900+ workshops on professionalism. The training and workshops cover email skills, presentation skills, business etiquette and stories about intercultural communication. All of my training is practical and can be applied immediately.
but then everything changed...
I realized the corporate world needed my help more.
When I was sent to give workshops outside the university, my clients would ask, “Why didn’t I know this before?” or “Can you come to my department and deliver the same training? We need you!” After a training session, I saw the joy and relief that people felt when they could speak more confidently and express their ideas more clearly. I wanted to continue helping employees develop better business communication skills. That is how Clear Speak GCC was born.
